The Escape Artist

I'm not saying I'm proud of this, I'm simply recounting what happened. If you are living anywhere in the Southeast right now or really anywhere across the country, you know it's pretty cold. That being said, I like to stay WARM. On my way home from an audition this week, I quickly zipped up my jacket and ran to the car. When I got home, I noticed the zipper was a little messed up, it had missed a little instead of pulling the zipper DOWN, like any normal person, I thought, "Hey, I'll try to pull it UP to see if that will fix it." No. No, it didn't. Not at all. It just pulled apart from the bottom up leaving only the very top of the zipper clinched shut. Needless to say this is a leather jacket with a higher neck, so now I'm trapped and can't get the jacket OFF! But, least I'm warm. It took about 30 minutes and the raw brute strength of my husband to work the zipper down far enough to slip it over my head. Unfortunately, I didn't think to capture this amazing Houdini act on film...don't worry, there WILL be another chance in the future, I'm sure...

  1. I would have loved to see this.

  2. haha...I'll make sure to record it next time! :)

  3. lol....sounds VERY familiar!!! i remember a certain dress incident where some clever sewing fixed the problem, and then scissors got the prisoner out later that night!!! hahahaha
